I started OMAD last Sunday so its going on one full week. Dropped from 183lbs (probably more like 185 the day before i started) to 171lbs, the scale has been dropping 1.5-2lbs a day every single day.
I do a huge dinner with no specific restrictions every night - dinners this week were
a large cheeseburger with baked potato with butter, pasta bolognese, grilled chicken thighs and rice with butter, etc… and with every dinner I do a huge garden salad with tons of veggies and full fat ranch or caesar dressing. Ive counted carefully and all my dinners are 1500Kcal +/- 5%
I felt sluggish the first few days but now it just feels normal and I am not hungry until I get close to my dinner time. I also cut my main vice out - ice cream/deserts. I eat between 6-7PM every night and outside of that its just black coffee or tea.
I got fat when Covid started and have been above 180 since 2019. Is losing this fast normal? Im pretty sedentary at work and dont do gym workouts, just light jogs, yard work, cleaning house, etc… Im thrilled at the results, but not sure if this is unsafe for any reason? I am in a very stressful job and havent had luck with sporadic attempts ive made to cut weight the past few years, but back pain motivated me to do something that seemed extreme at first, buy has ended up being much easier than expected. Does anyone have similar experience with OMAD?
