Make sure you’re getting a variety of foods from all the food groups. Focus on whole, unprocessed foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. Pay attention to how much you’re eating and try to avoid overeating. Use smaller plates and practice mindful eating by eating slowly and savoring your food. Drink plenty of water throughout the day to help you feel full and avoid dehydration. Exercise is an important part of any weight loss plan. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise most days of the week. Lack of sleep can interfere with weight loss efforts, so aim for 7-9 hours of sleep each night.
