Doubts about fasting

I’ve been doing pretty well with calorie counting and regular walking, down 16 lbs so far. But I keep seeing posts about intermittent fasting and how it supposedly speeds up weight loss.

I’m honestly a bit skeptical about it since my current approach is working, but I’m curious. My main concern is that my work schedule is really unpredictable, and I worry about having low energy or getting hangry at the worst times.

I found this article that explains the science behind it: Is Fasting Healthy? Will Fasting Help You Lose Weight? - Slimvive

It talks about benefits like improved fat burning and insulin sensitivity, but also mentions potential side effects like fatigue and irritability.

Has anyone here tried intermittent fasting with an unpredictable schedule? Did it actually speed up your results, or is it just another trend? I’m curious about real experiences, especially from people who’ve had success with more traditional approaches.

Part of me wants to try it to potentially reach my goal faster, but I’m also hesitant to mess with what’s already working. Thoughts on the matter?
