Whatever the goal of our training – lose weight, strengthen or both at the same time – it is important to prioritize strength exercises, doing them before cardio. The reason is simple and compelling. “Cardio should always be done after weights because to give maximum performance in strength exercises we need to have the muscles without fatigue and the glycogen stores full before carrying out the session. This way we can be with all the power during it and manage to perform the routine as intensely as possible. If we have spent glycogen doing exhaustive cardio previously, we will not achieve the same performance in the weights later, since we will have less energy and more fatigue from the start
